Hey Maya,

I owe you a dozen coffees for even reading this! My new-job orientation in Montreal got moved up, so I’m flying out Friday at 18:10 and won’t be back until late Sunday. That means my move-out weekend just turned into a long-distance puzzle. Could you rescue a few things if you’re around?

Timeline: the sofa buyer (name’s Jules) is coming Friday around 7:30 p.m. They’ll text when they’re 10 minutes out. The lockbox with my keys is on the unit doorknob—code 8842; press the clear button first or it won’t spin. Please grab the fob labelled “FREIGHT” from the bowl by the door; it opens the service elevator I booked for Saturday 9:00–11:00. The landlord’s inspection is Saturday at 10:30 a.m.; he’s pretty relaxed but likes a quick video of the empty fridge and the balcony. Storage locker is 17B at CityStorage (gate code 0426#), and there’s a folding dolly behind the closet door.

Plants: succulents just need a light drink on Sunday, but the fiddle-leaf gets two cups Saturday evening. The pothos is fine if the topsoil feels damp. Pico’s with Anu this weekend (big relief), though his carrier is on the hall-closet top shelf if you need it for any reason.

Parking is the annoying bit—street cleaning on our block is 8:00–10:00 a.m. Fridays on the north side. If you park there, they ticket like hawks, so use the south side after 10:00 or the alley visitor spot with the paper pass under the windshield. Mr. Chen in 3B is a lifesaver; he said you can borrow his heavy-duty tape and extra blankets if needed.

Utilities: Hydro is scheduled to cut service Monday at noon, and the internet tech window is Monday 8:00–10:00 a.m., so nothing should blink this weekend. If you have spare time Sunday, could you snap photos of the dining chairs (set of four, $60 OBO), the floor lamp ($20), and the bike rack ($40) and throw them on Marketplace? Cash jar is on the counter—label anything you sell.

If this is too much, just tell me what you can’t do and I’ll bribe Karim to cover the rest. I’ll be on airplane mode during the flight but checking messages after 11:00 p.m. Eastern.

You’re the best. I seriously owe you.

—Liam

Hey Liam, I’ve got you. I’ll meet 7.... on Friday and grab the keys from the lockbox—8...., press clear first, got it. I’ll use the 9.... window on Saturday and be ready for the 10:30 walkthrough; I’ll take a quick fridge/balcony video. I’ll water the fiddle-leaf and check the rest. If there’s time Sunday, I’ll list the chairs, lamp, and rack and drop any cash into the jar. Parking note received—I’ll avoid the north side before 10 and use the visitor pass if needed. If Mr. Chen’s around, I’ll borrow tape and blankets. Text me Jules’s number so I can coordinate arrivals. I’ll message you after I leave the locker (17B, code 0426#) and again once the inspection is done. Travel safe. You definitely owe me coffee. —Maya
