Hey Zoe,

Could you be my co-pilot for the neighbourhood market this Saturday? We’re raising money for Sam’s physio after the bike crash, and I promised the committee we’d still run the pop-up even though Sam can’t be there. Vendor check-in is 8:15–8:45 a.m.; the market runs 9:00–2:00. I booked a 10×10 spot on the west side near the bus stop.

Set-up: Mr. Rao is lending us two folding tables—he’ll leave them outside 2C at 7:40. The canopy is Jonas’s (unit 4B); if rain looks likely, the sandbags are inside the canopy bag. The city market team said they’ll swing by around 9:15 to spot-check permits. Ours is in an envelope under my doormat labelled “Vendor Permit #A127.”

Money/QR: I’ll put an $80 float in the cash tin (mixed coins + small bills). The laminated QR sign links to our Interac e-Transfer address; please test it once we’re live. Prices are on bright cards: books $2, mugs $3, jackets $15, puzzles $5. After 1:30 p.m., everything except pre-sold items goes half-price. If anyone asks for receipts, write a quick note on the duplicate pad and circle CASH or E-TRANSFER.

Tasks: can you meet me at the gate by 8:10, grab Rao’s tables, and help hang the “Sam’s Recovery Fund” banner? Asha from Café Redwood is picking up two crocheted blankets at 11:30 (paid)—please set them aside. The market coordinators will text if a busker needs the corner; if that happens, we’ll pull the canopy back two feet. Parking: use the gravel lot off Willow; street spots flip to no-parking at noon for a parade.

Wrap-up: take photos of any unsold chairs and the blender so I can post later. Everything we don’t keep goes to Second Chance Thrift before 3:30 (they’re four blocks south). I’ll bring sunscreen, clips, and a portable charger; could you toss in scissors and tape?

If this is too much, just say what you can cover and I’ll bribe Raj to fill the gaps. Thanks for even considering—Sam will flip when she hears we pulled this off.

—Lena

Hey Lena, Count me in—I’ll co-pilot the stall. I’ll swing by 2C at 7:40 for Mr. Rao’s tables and meet you at the gate by 7..... I’ll grab Jonas’s canopy if clouds look sketchy and weigh it down with the sandbags. Cash tin noted—I’ll 8.... and label the duplicate receipt pad. I’ll also test the laminated QR sign once we’re live. I’ll tag the blankets for Asha and have them ready at 9..... If the busker text comes, I’ll shift the canopy back two feet. After 1:30 I’ll move price cards to half-off (except pre-sold stuff), and when we wrap I’ll 10.... before 3:30. I’ve got scissors and tape covered; could you bring the banner clips just in case? Text me if the spot changes from the west side. We’ve got this—Sam’s going to be so proud. —Zoe
